  1. Great show and a lot of interesting topics covered. Just a note about Alex – back in 2008 just after finishing school, I listened to her give an interview online and introduced myself to her basically via a chat room. I was feeling pretty despondent about being a composer at the time, and she told me to give her a call, which I did. We must have talked for at least an hour, and she listened to me ramble on about my musical depression – lol. She essentially gave her time and advice to a complete stranger for nothing in return, and her advice and the fact that she cared to listen really helped me that day – well, from that day on. I can’t say enough good things about her – I’m glad you had her on the show!

    • @Anthony, thanks for sharing that story. We had a wonderful time talking to her and hope to have her back again sometime.

That’s so sweet, Anthony! Thanks; I can’t imagine any of us not wanting to reach out and encourage our peers. And speaking of uses of interactive technology like chat rooms, I think we “met” in Second Life back then. Great to see you here!

  2. Great show w Alex Shapiro. I just wish she would open up and talk a little more.
